Weekly Update 4.26.24

Beach Club Entertainment – Tonight, Friday, April 26th, the ““Ron’s Garage” will be performing from 7:00 – 9:00pm, sponsored by Carefree Boat Club of SoCal.  Come dance to Ron’s Garage and learn about Carefree Boat Club.  A special thank you to Carefree Boat Club for their support. On Wednesday, May 1st  our entertainment will be the “Sophisticats” from 5:30 – 7:30pm and lastly on Friday, May 3rd, “Shades of Sound” will be the entertainment from 7:00 – 9:00pm.   Join us on Saturday, May 4th at the Beach Club to watch the 2024 Kentucky Derby.  The post time will be 3:57pm from Churchill Downs. Come join the festivities! There will be Mint Julep drink specials and a special prize for the best hat.   Bingo – Mondays at the Beach Club beginning at 5:00pm, come out and play BINGO! Cards are $5.00 each, cash only. Good luck to all.   Common Area Parking – Every vehicle parked in the common areas must display a parking decal, issued by your building or a blue parking permit, issued by your door person handed out at the security kiosk.  See your building doorperson for more information. In addition, vehicles must be moved every 72 hours to avoid being towed at the owner’s expense.   L&R Monthly Meeting – Our next regularly scheduled L&R monthly General Session and Executive Session will be a hybrid meeting at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024. You can attend in person at the L&R Underground, or via Zoom.   Zoom Link:  https://zoom.us/j/99584948660   Enter Meeting ID #995 8494 8660 and press Join.   Line Dancing – Tuesday at the Beach Club, the teacher is Stan Kirkpatrick. At 4:00pm, everyone is invited to participate. Beginners at 4:00pm, the more advanced dancers 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The teachers are Phyllis Maas, Christa Mulchek, and Stan Kirkpatrick. A special thanks to all of them for taking the time to put on this weekly event.   Pool Area Closures – The Beach Club pool/deck area is currently under maintenance and will be closed through May 3rd.  The El Camino pool/deck area maintenance is scheduled for maintenance from May 6th through May 24th.  While the pools are drained, the decks & BBQ’s will be closed for safety reasons. Once the pools are refilled and the work has been completed, the decks and BBQ’s will reopen.   Shred Event – Mark your calendars for the Coronado Shores free annual shred event that is scheduled for Monday, May 6th from 9:00am until noon out front of the L&R office.  This shred event is being sponsored by Olga LaValle and Maria Garate-LaValle of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.  Complimentary refreshments will be provided and there will also be a raffle for a $200 restaurant gift card.   Western Towing: If you believe your car has been towed, contact Western Towing by calling (619) 297-8697 or (760) 738-9244.   Yoga Update:  Lulu Martin, our yoga instructor will be retiring at the end of April and her last yoga class will be April 30th.  We want to thank Lulu for her many years teaching yoga at the Coronado Shores and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
