SPECIAL GENERAL SESSION MEETING

January 25, 2024, 3:00pm, In-Person Underground/Zoom Conference Video Call

MINUTES

1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: Robert Clinton called the meeting to order at 3:00pm.

2. OPEN FORUM: 1) Sandy Brower, #10 – Common area parking/oversized vehicle rules. 2) Arlene Wilson, #3 – E-bikes.

3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

  1. Review and Approve L&R 2024 Insurance, Discussion, Action – Kirk Miller and his team shared his presentation and answered questions. He did state that he is working to get a quote on the Liquor Liability policy and the current policy is in effect until March 15, 2024. Motion: To accept the 2 mil Excess Liability coverage which includes Liquor Liability as presented made by Oliver McGonigle and seconded by Linda Shenwick. (Vote 9/0, #9 absent) Motion Passed. Motion: To reduce the AFM coverage back to just Towers 1-9, excluding L&R, at a net savings of $7,000 made by Linda Shenwick and seconded by Jan Yanda. (vote 2/7, #1, 10 yes, #2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 no, #9 absent) Motion Failed. Motion: To approve Kirk Miller’s policy as presented for $109,635.74 made by Oliver McGonigle and seconded by Jim Woolf. (Vote 9/0, #9 absent) Motion Passed.
  2. Common Area Parking, Update, Discussion, Action – Mark mentioned that there are no approvals in writing to be found. Motion: Affirm the decision to clarify the rules with this new rule change that has been outlined in our handout and has been published for 28 days made by Robert Clinton and seconded by Beth Mulcahy-Elardo. (Vote 5/4, #2, 3, 5, 7, 10 yes, #1, 4, 6, 8 no) Motion Passed. Free Standing Motion: To give the GM the authority to provide reasonable accommodations to those owners who have current parking stickers on their vehicles and are parking in the common area. The buildings should be encouraged to notify those owners that rent their units and the companies that perform this service to make sure that renters are made aware of the oversized vehicle rules before they arrive on campus made by Karen Perry and seconded by Jan Yanda. (Vote 2/7, #1, 4 yes, #2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 no, #9 absent) Motion Failed.

4. NEXT GENERAL SESSION MEETING DATE: 2:00pm, Thursday, February 15, 2024, L&R Office In-person and via Zoom.
