Weekly Update 3.1.24

Beach Club Entertainment – Tonight, Friday, March 1st, “Stand Up Guys” will be performing from 7:00 – 9:00pm.  On Wednesday, February 28th our Wednesday entertainment will be “Candy & Jesse from 5:30 – 7:30pm and on Friday, March 1st “Stand Up Guys” will be performing from 7:00 – 9:00pm.

The Beach Club will be hosting the third of three “Snow Birds & Other Birds of Paradise” Happy Hour for all Coronado Shores residents on Thursday, March 28th at 5:00pm. Bring an appetizer to share with old friends and new friends. This event will be the last of three to be held (January, February & March).  RSVP to jcheetwood@gmail.com.

Bingo – Mondays at the Beach Club beginning at 5:00pm, come out and play BINGO! Cards are $5.00 each, cash only.  Good luck to all.

Super Bingo – The Beach Club is planning to have a “Super Bingo” on Monday, March 25th starting at 5:00pm. The cards will be $10 each, cash only. Good Luck!

Common Area Parking – Every vehicle parked in the common areas must display a parking decal, issued by your building or a blue parking permit, issued by your door person handed out at the security kiosk.  See your building doorperson for more information.  In addition, vehicles must be moved every 72 hours to avoid being towed at the owner’s expense.

L&R Monthly Meeting – Our next regularly scheduled L&R monthly General Session and Executive Session will be a hybrid meeting at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024.  You can attend in person at the L&R Underground, or via Zoom. 

There will be a Special L&R General Session meeting on Thursday, March 7th at 1:00pm via Zoom and in-person in the Underground.

Line Dancing – Tuesday at the Beach Club, the teacher is Stan Kirkpatrick. At 4:00pm, everyone is invited to participate. Beginners at 4:00pm, the more advanced dancers 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The teachers are Phyllis Maas, Christa Mulchek, and Stan Kirkpatrick. A special thanks to all of them for taking the time to put on this weekly event.

No-Heat Pool Closure – The annual maintenance of the Cabrillo pool, jacuzzi, and wader pool will require the bodies of water to be drained, cleaned, and refilled.  This work will take place through 3/15/24.  While the pools are drained, the decks & BBQ’s will be closed, for safety reasons. Once the pools are refilled and the work has been completed, the decks and BBQ’s will reopen.

The Big Dump Documentary – The documentary, produced by Larry Delrose, is about the Tijuana Sewage Crisis and is now showing on YouTube. It is 37 minutes long and free to watch on YouTube, search “The Big Dump”.
